Netherlands joined P4G as a country partner in 2018 and launched its National Platform in 2020.
The Netherlands’ strategic contributions and leadership on climate action and sustainable development continues to strengthen the P4G network. The country supports innovative partnerships that contribute to sustainable and inclusive growth in developing countries by facilitating knowledge-sharing of Dutch private and public sector expertise. With 16 P4G partnerships in its network, the Netherlands is a leader in supporting innovative business models around the globe.
The International Enterprise Department within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency serve as the National Platform co-chairs.
The National Platform mobilizes an ecosystem of Dutch private and public sector leaders to catalyze partnerships delivering tangible impact and contributing to Dutch development priorities such as clean water and sanitation access, sustainable value chains, circular economy, clean cooking, textiles and sustainable food and agriculture. This commitment to green solutions can be seen in contributions to partnerships like SokoLink, which increases the income of smallholder farmers in Kenya, and Energise Africa, a crowdlending platform that allows everyday investors to support clean energy projects in Africa.
