Climate ventures play a critical role in developing innovative solutions to climate and development challenges, but many struggle to move from early-stage innovation to scale. In emerging economies, limited access to appropriate finance, fragmented entrepreneurial ecosystems, regulatory barriers and weak market linkages can prevent promising ventures from attracting investment and reaching scale.
This session will explore how promising climate ventures in emerging economies can move from innovation to investment and scale. Drawing on P4G's experience, WRI will present its latest research on ecosystem enablers for climate startups. A panel of distinguished speakers will share reflections on the quality of capital required to strengthen investable venture pipelines and the partnerships needed to shape the next generation of climate entrepreneurs.
