Indonesia Food Loss and Waste Action

About

The Indonesia Food Loss and Waste Action partnership initiated a cross-sector program to reduce food loss and waste in Indonesia by 50 percent by 2030.

Investing in Impact

P4G invested $100,000 in this partnership.

The partnership developed food loss and waste action plans with three companies in the dairy, palm oil and seed industries.

P4G assembled a meeting between the partnership and the Ministry of National Development Planning of Indonesia (BAPPENAS) that led to the government agency's commitment to supporting the next phase of the partnership and strengthened the focus on food loss and waste in their planning. P4G also sparked a knowledge sharing opportunity with another start-up partnership on food loss and waste in Mexico to scale and replicate the work for greater impact.
