Zulkamal Zakaria

Partnership Specialist

Zulkamal Zakaria is a partnership development specialist with extensive experience fostering strategic collaborations in international development, education, social welfare, and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). He has made significant contributions across various sectors, driving impactful programs and initiatives in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.

Zulkamal began his career at the Center for Good Governance, conducting research and developing gender mainstreaming modules to promote inclusive governance practices. His work centered on improving governance frameworks through gender-sensitive policies and programs. He then served at the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) Secretariat, where he coordinated ASEAN-related initiatives and fostered collaboration among 10 member parliaments and international partners. In this role, he improved administrative systems and organized international events, ensuring they aligned with statutory requirements.

As an independent consultant, facilitator and researcher, Zulkamal has provided consulting services for social research projects, program financial management and campaigns for marginalized groups. As a training facilitator, he led projects for mental health initiatives, improving emotional awareness and peer facilitation skills among marginalized youth in Jakarta. He has also conducted monitoring and evaluation activities for SRHR and youth mental health projects.

Zulkamal is based in Jakarta, Indonesia. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, connecting with nature, and volunteering with local organizations.
