Ahmed Shihab Zaman is the National Platform Liaison for Partnering for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030 (P4G) platform in Bangladesh. His main role is to liaise and develop relationships with Co-chairs and key stakeholders; to promote P4G’s support among related public and private communities; to support the selection, management and acceleration of partnerships in Bangladesh.
Shihab has deep interest in developing and advancing innovative financial solutions to addressing development and climate challenges around the world. Prior to P4G, he worked as an Intervention Manager in a USAID funded CSISA MEA project, specializing in the development of market systems for agricultural-based mechanization, as well as assisting in the design of blended finance for marginal farmers. Prior to that, he worked at Nathan Associates with its Business Finance for the Poor in Bangladesh (BFP-B), DFID funded project, as Partnership Management Consultant. He began his career at BRAC, working on its micro-finance and small enterprises development programs in Liberia and Bangladesh.
Shihab holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration. He was awarded the British Council Charles Wallace Fellowship to work with the International Center for Transformational Entrepreneurship on community development and social entrepreneurship at Coventry University.
Shihab enjoys watching football and tennis. He also loves to read fiction in his spare time.
