Brian is the Investment Manager for the Partnering for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030 (P4G) platform. He directs investment flows to early-stage climate ventures, leading the structuring of financing strategies, designing de-risking mechanisms, and overseeing investment readiness assessments to help start-ups become viable and scalable in emerging markets.
Before that, he was the investment specialist where he assessed current and prospective partnership business plans and financial projections as well as follow up support for readiness for commercial operations. He coordinated and implemented investor sessions for partnerships ready with investment memoranda and managed the subsequent investor relationships. He also prepared summaries of partnerships ready for securing investment for presentation to financial institutions and other investors.
Prior to joining P4G Brian was an senior finance associate at Agricultural Finance Corporation, whose mission is to provide sustainable financing through participative & collaborative financial & non-financial interventions including technical assistance, innovations, technology & products. Business Financial analysis, portfolio management & financial accounting were at the core of his services.
Brian holds a Master of Science degree in Development Finance from Strathmore University Business School, Nairobi Kenya in conjunction with Frankfurt School of Finance & Management in Frankfurt Germany. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce with a specialization in Finance from the University of Nairobi, Kenya. Besides his studies, Brian is a Chartered Development Finance Analyst (CDFA).
Brian lives in Nairobi. He speaks fluent Swahili & in his free time enjoys watching soccer and travelling.
