Deputy Minister Jongho Kyun joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1996. He has served in the Korean Mission to the European Union, and in the Korean Embassy to the U.S., the Philippines and Sri Lanka. He also served as Consul General at the Korean Consulate in Vancouver.
In the Foreign Ministry, he led the G20 team as director and has dealt with many economic agendas related with Climate Change and environment, OECD, WTO, and G20. He also has participated in many negotiations related with Climate Change and FTAs.
He studied French literature at Seoul National University and has a master’s degree in International Affairs from Columbia University in the U.S.
