Jin Young Kim is the Climate Director, Children's Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) and the chair of P4G’s Independent Grants Committee.
At CIFF, Kim directs the formulation and execution of climate-focused priorities and strategies across the Southeast and East Asia region for the foundation. Prior to CIFF, Kim was at the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), where she served as the Director for Asia from 2018 to 2021, successfully steering a comprehensive portfolio of country programs throughout Asia. Her leadership extended to shaping the strategic direction of country programs, guiding the formulation of country planning frameworks, and refining the implementation strategies for countries including China, India, Indonesia and many others. She held the position of Acting Head of Programs Asia Pacific from 2017 to 2018. During this tenure, she demonstrated a keen acumen for synthesizing and enhancing GGGI's services and products across the value chain, ensuring a cohesive approach from planning to implementation. Her adeptness at identifying trends and responding strategically, resulted in program restructuring and expansion.
Kim served as the United Arab Emirates Country Program Manager from 2010 to 2013 and held notable positions within the Presidential Committee on Green Growth and the Korean National Commission on Sustainable Development.
