Josefa González Blanco Ortiz Mena

Josefa González holds a degree in Law from Anáhuac University and a Master’s degree in Transformative Arts from John F. Kennedy University in Berkeley, California. Throughout her life, she has been an activist for the rights of nature, an active promoter of conservation, rescue and reintroduction of endangered species programs, and has worked with local communities to protect and restore Mexico’s biocultural heritage.
She previously held the position of administrative secretary for the Law Postgraduate Program at the National Autonomous University of Mexico where she was a professor of Comparative Legal Systems and also worked for multiple environmental organizations in the United Kingdom and Mexico, working both locally and internationally towards conservation projects.
