Apollonia is the Grants Manager for the Partnering for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030 (P4G) platform. Apollonia is a finance specialist with 13 years of experience in multi-donor, multi-country financial, grant, and administration management in international and local organizations.
Prior to joining WRI, Apollonia worked for SNV Netherlands Development organization and provided financial oversight to the Kenya Off-grid Solar Access Project (KOSAP) and Laikipia Isiolo Samburu Transforming the Environment Through Nexus (LISTEN). She managed a portfolio of 37 subgrantees, 33 in solar and 4 in climate resilience where she gathered immense experience in grantees contract management from selection to close out, developing sub-grantee tools, conducting financial and risk analysis, and guaranteeing financial resource accountability. She has worked with and familiarized herself with managing programs in Results Based Financing, Renewable Energy, Health services, Agriculture, Climate Resilience, Kenya government projects, Leadership opportunities for women, diverse impact areas including Gender Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion -GEDI, previously she also worked for IBTCI, REDRUK, and RAMSAFRICA.
Apollonia is a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya and holds a Master of Science in Finance and a Bachelor of Commerce degree in accounting.
In her spare time, Apollonia spends her time with family and friends and enjoys social gatherings.
