Sustainable Technology for Tackling Extensive Food Loss in Kenya

This partnership enables fishing communities to buy off-grid solar cooling appliances on a lease-to-own model to support income generation and reduce food loss.

Investing in Impact

P4G has invested US $99,900 in this partnership.

Through an affordable pay-as-you-go model, users gain ownership of the appliance after two years that gives them unlimited, free access to cooling for at least six years. The project, with an initial focus in Kenya, will be modeled, documented and replicated for scaling to other coastal regions in East Africa.
